Step 3: Make The Gravy

This step is really crucial, and you must carefully finish it. You must know how much of each spice to use to get the gravy properly.

Follow the guidelines:

  • To make Turkey liver special recipe, first take a medium-sized saucepan and a spatula. Add melted butter to the pan.
  • After heating, add cumin seed, star anise, cardamom, bay leaves, and cloves whole. Now, pour the chopped onions and fry. After getting a brownish colour, pour a small amount of water into it.
  • Now, put the flame on low and simply add the spices, including salt (as needed), ginger and garlic powder (each 1 tbsp), black pepper powder (1 tsp), turmeric powder (1 tbsp), and chilli powder (1 tbsp). Stir well for around 4-5 minutes, add more water if needed (but a little amount). It will become a natural colouring.

Step 4: Cook Vegetables

Now it’s time to add all the vegetables into the gravy, including scallions, potatoes, carrots, tomato, and bell pepper step-wise. Stir until the gravy combines all of them. Add ½ cup of water into this and put the ladle in to make the mixture soften a little, around 5-7 minutes.

Step 5: Final Touch

After that, stir the mixture and add the prepared liver pieces. Add 1 tsp cinnamon powder now. Again, stir and mix them. Now add 2-3 cups of water into it and ladle. Here you can try the smoky flavour with charcoal (it’s totally optional). Let’s cook it for around 25-30 minutes on a low-medium flame.

Adjust the salt and spice if needed.
