Honeymoon Destinations in America
When it comes to potential honeymoon destinations, it’s easy to see why so many British couples might consider the United States. For many of us, American culture has been ever-present on our television screens throughout our lives. Having watched every episode of Friends, for example, we might feel as though we’re familiar with New York, even if we’ve never actually been there in person.
A honeymoon is a chance to splash out a little on a holiday that will live long in the memory. The US offers a diverse range of potential destinations, each of them offering something entirely different from the last.
Hawaii
If you’d like an island break, with gorgeous clear blue water stretching in every direction, palm trees everywhere, and plenty of opportunities for activities, then it’s difficult to beat Hawaii. You’ll be able to hike through the highlands and try a spot of surfing, too.
Nashville
The name ‘Nashville’ in popular culture is inseparable from country music. If you’re looking to spend time watching musicians perform live, then this is the place to do it. The list of genres performed here does, however, extend far beyond Country music.
California
This famous state is home to a range of beautiful attractions that are sure to tempt many couples. To get the best view of the state, you’ll want to avoid the big cities in favour of Orange County, which sits just south of LA. As well as a wealth of amazing beaches, it provides plenty of great restaurants.
Costa Rica
For this one, we’re venturing beyond the US, to a destination that’s actually enormously popular with American tourists. Costa Rica is a land that’s packed with extraordinary wildlife, and unrivaled beaches, and that’s built to cater to Western tourists. What’s not to like? You’ll be able to explore it all with the help of a good Costa Rica tour. If you’re lucky, and you arrive at the right time of year, then you might even get a chance to see baby green turtles make their scramble into the Caribbean.
Florida
The so-called sunshine state has a great deal to offer the average British tourist. You might pay a visit to Disney World resort, which for fans of Disney will probably offer enough appeal to sway the decision alone. On the other hand, you might also enjoy the nightlife in Miami, or the Florida Keys, which is an incredibly vibrant habitat for a broad array of creatures – including, but not limited to the famous alligators.
Wyoming
For those looking for a taste of the rural, untamed West, Wyoming has a huge amount going for it. There are museums, breweries, and national parks to explore. If you’d like to experience the cowboy lifestyle, then this is the place to find it.
